Zahra Mehdi Malik, MD

Dr. Zahra Malik joined NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center in November 2015 as a member of the cardiothoracic anesthesiology team. She completed her fellowship in cardiothoracic anesthesiology from Johns Hopkins Hospital and her anesthesiology residency from Brigham and Women's Hospital, a teaching affiliate of Harvard Medical School. She earned her medical degree from the University of Virginia. She obtained her undergraduate degree from The George Washington University, graduating summa cum laude. Dr. Malik is board certified in Anesthesiology and in Advanced Perioperative Transesophageal Echocardiography. She is a member of the American Society of Anesthesiologists and the Society of Cardiovascular Anesthesiologists.
