iconAbout Yi-Ju Chen, MD

Dr. Yi-Ju Chen is an attending Gynecologic Oncologist at NewYork-Presbyterian Queens and an Assistant Professor of Clinical Obstetrics and Gynecology at Weill Cornell Medicine. After graduating from National Defense Medical Center in Taiwan, Dr. Chen completed her residency at BronxCare Health System, where she was honored with multiple awards. Shen then completed a fellowship in Gynecologic Oncology at SUNY Downstate Medical Center.

Dr. Yi-Ju Chen sees women with all gynecologic cancers and those who require complex gynecologic procedures. In addition, Dr. Chen cares for a large number of women with hereditary cancer syndromes. Dr. Chen has extensive training in minimally invasive surgery, extended pelvic resections, and pelvic reconstructive surgery. Dr. Chen is passionate about novel treatments that change the landscape of gynecologic oncology. She participates in clinical trials and has published peer-reviewed articles in prominent journals. Dr. Chen also holds a Master of Public Health in Health Policy and Management, in which she concentrates on how cancer disparities impact health outcomes.

A major focus of Dr. Yi-Ju Chen's work is delivering state-of-the-art gynecologic cancer care to her patients. Dr. Chen is a full member of the Society of Gynecologic Oncology, the American Society of Clinical Oncology, and a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.
