Dr. Shermon is a faculty member and Assistant Professor in the Department of Rehabilitation and Regenerative Medicine at Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons and a physician with ColumbiaDoctors and NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital.

She is board-certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. She completed her residency training in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Case Western Reserve University/MetroHealth Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio and fellowship training in Interventional Pain Medicine at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, California.

Dr. Shermon specializes in the evaluation and treatment of spine pain, joint pain, and complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS), with a focus on minimally invasive, evidence-based interventional procedures. Her expertise includes fluoroscopically guided spinal and peripheral nerve injections, radiofrequency ablation, and neuromodulation therapies. She is dedicated to helping patients reduce pain, restore function, and improve quality of life through individualized, multidisciplinary care.

In addition to her clinical practice, Dr. Shermon is committed to medical education and academic excellence. She teaches medical students, residents, and fellows in interventional pain medicine and is actively involved in research on optimizing clinical outcomes.
