
Dr. Franco Corso is an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at Columbia University Irving Medical Center. She completed her psychiatry residency at Icahn School of Medicine and Mount Sinai West/Morningside and her addiction research fellowship at Columbia University Irving Medical Center. Dr. Franco specializes in providing care for patients dealing with conditions like depression and anxiety, especially when these conditions intersect with substance-related challenges that hinder their ability to lead fulfilling lives. Her therapeutic approaches encompass psychotherapy, medical management (including Vivitrol and Suboxone), and, when appropriate, facilitates family and couples therapy. Dr. Franco also offers consultations for diagnostic assessments and treatment planning. Additionally, she takes a holistic approach to mental health and conducts research on how altered states of consciousness, whether induced by substances like psychedelics or mind-body techniques such as breathwork, can influence mental well-being.
