Shawn Ma, MD

Shawn Ma, MD is a physician specializing in Vascular and Interventional Radiology. He is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Radiology at Weill Cornell Medicine and an Assistant Attending Radiologist at the New York-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medicine Campus.

Dr. Ma earned a B.A. in Biological Science in 2015 from Cornell University, where he was inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa honor society. He then earned his M.D. in 2019 from the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania and was elected into the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society.

Following a general surgery preliminary year at Kaiser Permanente Los Angeles Medical Center, Dr. Ma returned to the University of Pennsylvania for his integrated Interventional Radiology/Diagnostic Radiology residency program, graduating in 2025. During this time, he served as Chief Resident in 2022-2023 and completed an Imaging Informatics Fellowship in 2024.

Dr. Ma joined the faculty at Weill Cornell Medicine in July 2025 as an Assistant Professor of Clinical Radiology, as a member the Interventional Radiology Division.
