Dr. Forgács received his MD from the University of Szeged, Hungary (Summa cum Laude). He completed his Medicine Internship and Neurology Residency at the Weill Cornell Medical College/New York-Presbyterian Hospital, and his Clinical Neurophysiology/Epilepsy Fellowship at the Harvard Medical School/Brigham and Women’s Hospital. He also finished a Research Fellowship and received a Master’s Degree in Clinical Investigation from The Rockefeller University. Dr. Forgács holds dual board certification in Neurology and in Epilepsy by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.Dr. Forgács is an academic neurologist and epileptologist with a life-long goal to provide excellent medical care to patients suffering from neurological diseases, including specialized care for patients with epilepsy. His research interests also include development of improved diagnostic methods and new treatment modalities for patients affected by severe acute (patients in intensive care units) and chronic injuries of the nervous system using advanced analytical methods of the electrical brain activity (i.e. EEG neuro-monitoring). Dr. Forgács is an Attending Physician at the Division of Clinical Neurophysiology, Department of Neurology, Weill Cornell Medical College/New York-Presbyterian Hospital and an Instructor in Neuroscience at the Feil Family Brain and Mind Research Institute, Weill Cornell Medical College. He is also an Instructor in Clinical Investigation at the Center for Clinical and Translation Science at The Rockefeller University and an Associate Attending Physician at The Rockefeller University Hospital.
