Nivia C Alicea, CNM

Nivia C. Alicea, MSN, BSN, CNM, RN, is a certified nurse midwife at the Family Planning Clinic. She is board certified by the American College of Nurse Midwives (ACNM). As a graduate of New York University and Columbia University's School of Nursing, Nivia specializes in well woman gynecology, reproductive health, contraceptive management and care.

Among her specialties, Nivia has received certification by ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography) for Midwife Sonography. She is trained and experienced in the insertion and removal of IUD's and contraceptive implants. Nivia's clinical interests include providing resources to empower women through education about their health care choices.
