iconAbout Lawrence J. Baskind, MD

Dr. Larry Baskind grew up in Fair Lawn, New Jersey. He graduated from Princeton University, and New Jersey Medical School, where he also did his pediatric residency and served as chief resident. Dr. Baskind came to the Hudson Valley in 1987, working at the local Health Center, where he was the Director of Pediatrics. In 1991, he co-founded Riverside Pediatrics, which is now a part of The Westchester Medical Practice. Dr. Baskind is a Clinical Associate Professor at New York Medical College and serves as a preceptor for medical students and residents. Dr. Baskind's wife is an executive producer of children's educational media at WNET. His proudest accomplishment was his collaboration with her on the creation of two sons who both slept through the night by the age of one month. A medical student and bioengineer, the boys share his love of science, the Knicks, snorkeling, Bela Fleck and the Flecktones, and travel. Dr. Baskind plays bass and basketball, ever striving to build skills that can match his passion.

In our pediatric practices, we advocate for children to receive the recommended vaccinations as per the schedules provided by the American Academy of Pediatrics and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Vaccines are a safe and effective means of preventing diseases and health complications in children and young adults.

If you have any questions or concerns regarding vaccinations, we are available to discuss them during your child's next visit.
