
Dr. Lauren Farmer hails from Burlington, Vermont, with family roots in New York City and an international extended family in Chile, Switzerland, Australia, and Spain. She earned her undergraduate degree in Biology with a focus on Health Sciences from the University of California, Berkeley, and began her medical career at Planned Parenthood in Northern California. Dr. Farmer obtained her M.D. from New York Medical College and completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Duke University.Dr. Farmer is passionate about enhancing health equity and access, both as a gynecologic surgeon and an obstetrician. Her commitment to these principles is evident throughout her medical career. She is dedicated to the education of medical students and residents, prioritizing patient safety and satisfaction in all teaching endeavors.With expertise in a broad range of areas, Dr. Farmer provides comprehensive care for patients throughout their lifespan. She is knowledgeable in prenatal care, LGBTQ+ health, family planning, infertility, addiction disorders, hormonal and menstrual disorders, general gynecology, menopause, and care for midlife and later life patients.
