
Latoya was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, and proudly embraces her Caribbean heritage, which has greatly shaped her personal values and professional approach to nursing. She earned her Associate of Science in Nursing from Long Island College School of Nursing in 2012, followed by a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from St. Francis College in 2014.
She began her nursing career as a Medical-Surgical nurse at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital, where she developed a strong clinical foundation. After five years, driven by a longstanding passion for women's health, she transitioned to Labor and Delivery in 2020.
In 2023, Latoya earned her Master of Science in Nursing from Long Island University Brooklyn. Today, she is proud to serve as a Nurse Practitioner at Weill Cornell Medicine, where she provides compassionate, expert care to her community with a deep commitment to patient-centered practice.
A fun fact about her journey: Latoya began working at NewYork-Presbyterian in 2007 in the Food and Nutrition department while pursuing her dream of becoming a nurse—providing an early connection to patient care and the hospital community.
