The Weill Department of Medicine has appointed Dr. Kirana Gudi to serve as Vice Chair of Education as of July 1, 2018. Dr. Gudi, an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine, currently serves as Program Director of the department's residency training program in internal medicine. As Vice Chair of Education, Dr. Gudi will oversee a broad range of training programs and will work closely with the Department to advance its educational mission in furthering faculty development.

Dr. Gudi received her medical training on the Weill Cornell campus beginning with an M.D. from Weill Cornell Medical College. She served as a Chief Resident and completed her residency training, as well as a fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine, at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical Center. She maintains an active outpatient pulmonary practice, attends on the Inpatient Pulmonary Consult and the ICU Consult services, and is a passionate advocate of medicine and medical education.
