John T Nathanson, MD

John Nathanson is a gastroenterologist specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of a variety of digestive diseases as well as colorectal cancer screening and prevention. He graduated cum laude with a degree in Neuroscience from Amherst College. He received his MD from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai with a distinction in research, where was the recipient of the Barry Coller Award for Excellence in Clinical Medicine and was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. Dr. Nathanson trained in internal medicine at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and completed his gastroenterology fellowship at Columbia University Medical Center. His interests include the use of artificial intelligence in colonoscopy, and he has published on the application of technology in gastroenterology, access to colorectal cancer screening, and colonoscopy quality.
