Jessica Tsao MD, MSc, is a sports medicine physician specializing in the non-operative management of acute and chronic musculoskeletal injuries in athletes of all levels. She provides comprehensive care for the full spectrum of sports-related injuries in adolescents and adults, including conditions affecting the bones, muscles, tendons, and joints. In addition, she has a particular interest in injury prevention, minimally invasive procedures, and return-to-play.

A former Division I soccer player, Dr. Tsao earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Portland before being awarded a Fulbright scholarship to study at Liverpool John Moores University, where she obtained a Master's in Sports Biomechanics. She received her medical degree from Harvard Medical School and completed her residency in Emergency Medicine at NYU-Bellevue. She then completed a fellowship in Primary Care Sports Medicine at Stanford University.

Dr. Tsao has worked with athletes at all levels, from the youth level to weekend warriors and professionals, and is committed to helping them safely return to sport while optimizing performance and preventing future injuries. Having experienced the demands of high-level competition firsthand, she understands the physical and mental challenges that come with injury and recovery. Her practice combines an evidence-based approach with shared decision-making to help her patients best achieve their individual goals.
