Dr. Jennel Alexis Zeppieri is a board-certified medical oncologist and internist with a clinical focus on hereditary cancer syndromes, early detection, and cancer risk reduction. She completed both her fellowship in Hematology/Oncology—where she served as chief fellow—and her internal medicine residency—also as chief resident—at Robert Wood Johnson Barnabas Health.

Dr. Zeppieri's professional mission is deeply rooted in personal experience. Her mother's diagnosis with BRCA-related pancreatic cancer sparked her passion for advancing care for individuals at high risk for cancer. This journey informs her commitment to compassionate, personalized care and her focus on increasing awareness of underrecognized hereditary cancer syndromes.

Through her training and practice in diverse communities, Dr. Zeppieri has developed a nuanced understanding of how cultural values and individual preferences shape medical decision-making. She is committed to ensuring equitable access to preventive oncology care and advocates for strategies that integrate patient education, early detection, and multidisciplinary support.

An active member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology and the American Society of Hematology, Dr. Zeppieri also serves on the executive board of the Student Movement Against Cancer. She has been recognized with awards for clinical compassion and research excellence, and she has presented on quality improvement initiatives and rare malignancies at national forums.
