Enad Maher Dawod, MD, is an Assistant Professor in the Division of Digestive Diseases at Columbia University Irving Medical Center. He earned his medical degree from the University of Jordan and completed his Internal Medicine residency at NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center. He then pursued a fellowship in Gastroenterology and Hepatology at Weill Cornell Medical Center, followed by an Advanced Endoscopy fellowship at NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Irving Medical Center.
His clinical and research interests include obesity and pancreatic diseases, with a particular focus on early detection, cancer screening, and prevention. He is especially interested in using interventional endoscopy as a tool to better understand and manage pancreatic conditions, obesity, and obesity-related gastrointestinal disorders.
Dr. Dawod is an active member of the American College of Gastroenterology (ACG), the American Gastroenterological Association (AGA), and the New York Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (NYSGE).
