

Dr. Elizabeth (Liza) Stephanz is a Instructor in Clinical Pediatrics practicing at Columbia University Irving Medical Center. She received her Doctor of Medicine degree from Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons and her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Duke University. Dr. Stephanz is active in academic pediatrics and neuroscience research communities. Her professional interests focus on general pediatrics, child development, and the neurobiology of brain injury and recovery. She has an interest in developmental outcomes following traumatic brain injury in children. In addition, she serves as a resident physician in the Department of Pediatrics and contributes to Columbia's medical education and research initiatives. She was recently honored with the Jerry Jacobs Prize from Columbia University for her contributions to pediatrics and neuroscience research.
