Duncan Hau, MD is a board-certified pediatrician and associate professor of clinical pediatrics at Weill Cornell Medicine. He has served as Director Pediatric Hospitalist Program at New York Presbyterian/Lower Manhattan Hospital and Associate Medical Director of Newborn Nurseries at New York Presbyterian/Lower Manhattan Hospital & Weill Cornell.
His research focuses on reducing child mortality in resource-poor settings and on global health medical education. He is actively involved in global health teaching with Cornell University undergraduates, medical students, and pediatric residents. He also serves on a national committee providing leadership and educational resources on global health training.
Dr. Hau graduated from Cornell University and received his medical degree from Tufts University School for Medicine. He completed his pediatric residency at New York Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center. After residency, he spent two years living in Mwanza, Tanzania working for the Baylor International Pediatric AIDS Initiative scaling-up pediatric care in Tanzania.
