Breta Boots, DO, is a general neurologist with particular expertise in clinical neurophysiology and headache. She performs procedures including Botox injections for chronic migraine, Nerve Blocks for headache disorders, and diagnostic EMG (including nerve conduction studies). She received her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, followed by Internal Medicine internship at Lankenau Medical Center in Pennsylvania. She completed Neurology residency and sub-specialty Neurophysiology fellowship at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center in Worcester, MA, with a focus on electromyography (EMG) and electroencephalography (EEG). She later completed post-graduate training in Advanced Headache Diagnosis and Management at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, PA.

She is board-certified in Neurology and Clinical Neurophysiology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and a member of the American Academy of Neurology and the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. Prior to joining the Department of Neurology at the Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons and the Neurological Institute of New York Presbyterian Hospital/Columbia University Irving Medical Center in 2025, she served as a General Neurologist and Clinical Neurophysiologist at Community Neuroscience Services in Westborough, Massachusetts for over 8 years.
