Dr. Benjamin Silver is a Gastroenterologist at NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital and an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Weill Cornell Medicine. He specializes in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of a wide range of digestive disorders, with a particular focus on colon cancer prevention and chronic gastrointestinal diseases.

Dr. Silver received his medical degree from St. George's University School of Medicine and completed his residency in Internal Medicine at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University, where he served as Chief Resident at Kings County Hospital Center. He went on to complete his fellowship in Gastroenterology and Hepatology at SUNY Downstate, serving as Chief Fellow in his final year. He also holds a master's degree in Biomedical Science from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey.

For over a decade, Dr. Silver has been dedicated to caring for the Brooklyn community. He is committed to advancing health equity, reducing healthcare disparities, and providing compassionate, patient-centered care. In addition to his clinical work, he is actively involved in teaching and mentoring future physicians and contributes to research in both basic science and clinical gastroenterology.

Dr. Silver is a member of several professional gastroenterology societies and regularly presents his research through abstracts, case reports, and publications.
