
Anurag Sharma, MD, is a hematologist and oncologist at NewYork-Presbyterian Medical Group Westchester and an assistant clinical professor of medicine at Columbia University Irving Medical Center. He has a clinical focus on the treatment of breast cancer and hematology and sees patients at New York-Presbyterian Westchester Hospital Cancer Center. Dr. Sharma is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology and the American Society of Hematology. His work has been published in the Journal of Clinical Oncology, and he has presented at national and international oncology meetings, including the San Antonio Breast Cancer Symposium. After graduating from Government Medical College in Amritsar, India, Dr. Sharma completed his residency in internal medicine at New York Medical College. He served his hematology and oncology fellowship at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine. He is board certified in internal medicine, hematology and medical oncology. Active in the community, Dr. Sharma regularly participates in community-based discussions organized by NewYork-Presbyterian, and promotes breast cancer awareness and cancer education locally. A compassionate and dedicated physician, Dr. Sharma believes in involving his patients in joint decision-making through providing information and resources about their diagnosis and treatment options.
