Dr. Anthony Tramontano is a board-certified cardiologist with over two decades of experience in clinical care, academic medicine, and cardiovascular research. He is dedicated to the art of medicine, looking beyond the diagnosis to understand each patient's history and habits in order to craft effective personal treatment plans.

Dr. Tramontano has spent most of his career caring for the underserved of the Adirondack and Champlain regions, where he excelled in community engagement. His lectures and presentations helped to promote cardiovascular health eduction and awareness both in and out of the hospital, and he mentored extensively to medical students, physician assistants and nursing students. He conducted grand rounds in addition to participating in various health boards and quality assurance committees. He also held such leadership roles as Chairman of Medicine at Adirondack Medical Center and various directorships.

He earned his M.D. from St. George's University College of Medicine and degrees from Hofstra University, New York University, and St. John's University. His post-graduate training includes fellowships in cardiology and advanced cardiovascular imaging at prestigious institutions such as Winthrop-University Hospital and NYU Langone Medical Center. His clinical expertise is complemented by international experience in hospitals across the UK, Israel, and the Caribbean, where he continues to teach, lecture and do clinical work.

Dr. Tramontano is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and has contributed to research in cardiac cell death, endothelial function, atherogenesis, and cardiac imaging. His work has been recognized with awards and media appearances. He is certified in Adult Echocardiography, Nuclear Cardiology, and Cardiovascular Disease, and holds COCATS Level III credentials in multiple imaging modalities including cardiac CT and MRI.
