
Dr. Alan Barasch practices general psychiatry and psychodynamic psychotherapy with adults and couples. He is a highly regarded teacher of psychotherapy at Weill Cornell Medical College, Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, and The Columbia University Center for Psychoanalytic Training and Research. His teaching has focused on active techniques of Brief Psychodynamic Psychotherapy and he has pioneered the use of role play in teaching psychotherapy.
